Static vs Current Electricity

This week we learnt about static and current electricity.

Things I Use Throughout the day

Usually when I wake up in the morning I eat breakfast first. After that I go to the sink and brush my teeth then  I use the microwave warm food. Next I watch TV while waiting until the clock hits 9:00 and then I hop in the car.

My mum drives me to school. When I get to school I use the lights to see properly in class. Next I use my chromebook and my to work on my chromebook and to use my charger every time it is dead. 


In the evening I use the toilet sometimes at school when I need to go to the toilet. Then I go home and go in the car to pick my little sister up from school. Then I played outside and played with Kanesha and sister and brother. After that my mum called me. To go inside and go for a shower when I finished showering I watched tv and then I went to sleep.

Howick Historical Village

Yesterday Room 9 and Room 4 and Room 5 went on a trip to Howick Historical Village. We hopped on the bus. When we got there the first we did was to play with the toys that the kids played with when they were on the boat sailing to  New Zealand from England but the problem was that there were no toys that could fit in the box because they had to take what they needed to make the village beautiful so that they can be warm and comfy. After that we had our lunch we played a little game. So after playing games we went to the old school that the kids learnt at school. We saw lots of toys on the mat. We played with all the toys. After that we played a game.  When we finished they told us how they use electricity in 1850s. They didn’t have electricity or phones in the 1850s. Then after all that, we lined up in 3 lines. 1 line went with Willam’s mum, the 2nd line went with Ezra’s mum and the last line went with miss smith. We were all going to look at the houses and play with toys. My favourite part was looking at the hen’s and the ducks even 1 bunny. It was very fun at Howick Historical Village.

Thunderstorms

Thunderstorms can cause a lot of damage and it can also get things on fire and it can hit people. 

Also it can damage a lot of buildings and trees too as high winds can knock trees over. 

It can kill some of the animals because they get scared and run everywhere. 

Put your animals inside and make sure that your animals are safe. 

Be safe and keep low and find a shelter and turn off power points and stay inside.

My descriptive writing

I carefully look from behind the tree and saw a tall creature standing  in the shallow water. I then went back behind the tree because I thought I was going to get found by him.

I went back then the creature heard a sound from behind the tree. The creature walked to the tree. The man knew the creature was walking towards the tree so he got out his bow and the man ran to another tree to wait.  He wanted to make sure the creature didn’t see him.

Then the creature continued to walk through the shallow water.

ANZAC day
