Identity
My name is Latu Lisala-Moli and I am 8 years old. I was born in NZ but I am so proud to be a Tongan. My dad and mum are full Tongan. My dad’s name is Mikiloni Lisala-Moli and my mum’s name is Oliveia Lisala-Moli. I have two brothers and two sisters. Malo e lelei means hello and alu’a means goodbye.
Our tongan traditions are valuable because kids need to respect their parents and obey them.
I speak tongan and english at home and this is the Tongan flag.

Vodafone Event Centre
On Monday, room nine went for a trip to the Vodafone Event Centre to look at stories from New Zealand authors, illustrators and learn about what we don’t know about reading and writing stories.
My favourite part was when they started to fight on stage like Vikings use too and the What Now people were filming us on television.
There were others talking about lots of stories and things and they were filming us when we were eating our lunch.
We went back inside to listen to other stories. There were some really cool stories and I enjoyed them.
After that we went back in the bus and we went back to school and off home. I had fun at the Vodafone Event Centre. I can’t wait for my next visit.
Te Oro
Today the senior school went to a trip called Te Oro to see The Man Whose Mother was a Pirate and the little kids were there from the kindy too.
We saw a cow shaking it’s bottom and some people laughed because it was funny. My favourite part was the cow because it was shaking it’s bottom and making funny noises.
Then this girl came like a pirate and the girl was moving because the water was moving and my other favourite part was that man who looked like a girl.
We had fun in the end because we got to dance.
Thank you Te Oro for giving us the gift a seat and thank you for having us here. I had fun at Te Oro.

Then we went to the part with all the kiwis and we saw lots and lots of things. There were eggs and kiwis and elephants. Also some birds and some penguins that are getting their eggs out. I had fun.

My Acrostic Poem About Insects
Insects have three body parts and six legs.
Never touch bees because they will sting you.
Spiders are not insects because they have 8 legs.
Everyone runs away from INSECTS.
Caterpillars come out of the eggs one at a time.
Tiny ants are plenty in summer.
